User Instructions :

UPPER BACK STRETCH

1. Sit down on the floor with your legs outstretched in front of you and your knees slightly bent.

2. Place the Stretch Mate on the floor directly behind you. For a gentle stretch, place the end with the smaller curve closest to your lower back (pictured). Place the bigger curve for a deeper stretch.

3. Reach back with both hands and grasp the side rails, with one hand on each side.

4. Slowly lower your back onto the curve of the Stretch Mate. (If you find the stiffness of its bars uncomfortable, we recommend placing a towel or blanket over the unit).

5. This is the upper back stretching position. Relax your neck and shoulders, hold this position, and feel the stretch along your spine. Stay here for 2 to 3 minutes.

MID-BACK STRETCH

6. To stretch the midsection of your back, bend your knees and place the soles of your feet on the floor. Lift your bottom, grasp the side rails of the Stretch Mate, and slide it down a few inches toward your feet. Lower your bottom onto the gentler curve of the Back Stretcher. This in the Mid Back stretching position. Relax and hold this position for 2 to 3 minutes.

LOWER BACK STRETCH

7. To stretch your lower back, bend your knees and place the soles of your feet on the floor once again. Lift your bottom, grasp the side rails of the Stretch Mate, and slide it down a few more inches toward your feet. Lower your bottom onto the Back Stretcher, resting your waist onto the highest part of the curve. Relax and hold this position for 2 to 3 minutes.

8. When finished stretching, bend your knees and lift your bottom one last time. Slide the Stretch Mate out to one side, and lower your bottom to the floor. Roll your body to the side, and get up slowly.

Purpose of a Wine Aerator - Do you really need one

Let's set the record straight: You want to make a good first impression on your neighbors and you'd like to make the wine you purchase live up to its price. Most wine enthusiasts would recommend that you purchase a wine aerator (and probably a wine decanter, too). An aerator coupled with a decanter will make your RM30 bottle of wine match up to its price, instead of tasting like a RM20 bottle. So, investing in a wine aerator will actually help you save money in the long run.
Like we mentioned on the first page, a wine aerator helps air filter into the wine. Though wine can aerate itself if you let it sit in a decanter for an hour or two, there are times when you need it to aerate much faster. That's why a wine aerator comes in handy -- it can accelerate the aeration process.
Now you're probably wondering how and why a little oxygen will make your wine taste better. It seems like letting it "breathe" would cause some of the wine's undertones to escape. Please don't think this! By allowing the contents of the wine bottle to breathe, you are actually ensuring a smoother taste. Aerating wine, coupled with decanting, will highlight the individual accents and smells so you can recognize them more fully
Note: Red wines are the only wines that require aeration. White wines can be poured into a decanter if you wish, but there’s no need to aerate them.

Kopi-O KOSONG- good for you! Without milk or creamer and less/no sugar.

By Sylvia Booth Hubbard, Newsmax

For many years, coffee was considered a vice, linked with sleepless nights and cigarettes.

But scientists have discovered that coffee contains potent antioxidants that can fight numerous ailments, includingheart disease and diabetes.According to the American Coffee Association, 54% of Americans drink coffee on a daily basis, and they drink, on average, over three cups each.

The diseases coffee can benefit include:
Dementia. Drinking moderate amounts of coffee during middle age -classified as three to five cups daily - can decrease the risk of dementia by 65%, according to a 2009 study by Swedish and Finnish researchers.

Liver disease.
In those who drink too much alcohol, those who drank the most coffee - more than four cups every day - reduced their risk of developing alcoholic cirrhosis by 80%.

Heart disease.
Research associated with The Nurses' Health Study found that women who drank two to three cups of coffeedaily had a 25% lower risk of dying from heart disease. Along the same line, a Spanish study found that men who drank more than five cups of coffee each day lowered their risk of dying from heart disease by 44%, and that women who drank four to five cups each day reduced their risk by 34%.

Prostate cancer.
A recent study from Harvard Medical School found that men who drank the most coffee slashed their risk of developing the fastest growing and most difficult to treat prostate cancers by more than half when compared to men who drank no coffee.

Gout.
Drinking four or more cups of coffee each day dramatically reduces the incidence of gout, say U.S. and Canadian researchers. Men who drank four to five cups daily lowered their risk by 40 percent, and those who drank six or more cups daily reduced their risk of developing gout by 59% when compared to men who didn't drink coffee.

Breast cancer.
Coffee can either reduce the risk of developing breast cancer or delay its onset, according to Swedish studies. They found that coffee alters a woman's metabolism and produces a safer balance of estrogens. Women who drank two to three cups of coffee a day reduced their cancer risk by as much as two-thirds, depending on the specific type of breast cancer.

Diabetes.D
Enjoying six or more cups of coffee daily can cut chances of Type 2 diabetes by 54% in men and 30% in women over those who don't drink coffee.

Parkinson's disease.
Several studies show that drinking coffee lowers a man's risk of developing Parkinson's up to 80 percent - and the more the better.

Colon cancer
A Japanese report found that women who drank three or more cups of coffee every day slashed their risk of developing colon cancer in half.

What's responsible for coffee's healthy benefits? Most researchers believe it's the antioxidants (polyphenols or flavonoids) in coffee, but there are hundreds of compounds in coffee that may be partially responsible.

Kopi-O kosong ~ bottoms up! Cheers...
